We heard about Vantage Ag’s new Quantum Ag Technologies on the radio last fall.

We inquired about how these products would work on our perennial ryegrass. We know that when we spread nutrients on the surface that our use efficiency is very low We purchased Vantage Ag’s new Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potassium and Sulphur products. We applied 100 pounds of actual N to all of our perennial ryegrass this spring, in the urea form and then we applied the Nitrogen, Phosphate and Potassium products at 6.7 ounces per acre each and the sulphur at 3.3 ounces/acre.

We were blown away by the tissue sample results, compared to where we did only the N we doubled the amount of each nutrient in the plant.

We basically doubled the amount of each nutrient that we added to. The N, P, K and S. We were very eager to see the yield difference. The part of the field that had no added nutrients yielded 770 Ibs per acre, the part of the field that had our nutrients applied yielded 935 lbs. An 18% higher yield or 165 more pounds per acre, with an investment of $31/acre, assuming a price of 90 cents per pound for the ryegrass, that is a net of $148.50 more per acre!

We were so excited to see this kind of return on our investment. Not only will we use more Vantage Ag products next year we plan on selling this new technology to many of our neighbours next year.
